A high priority are the roadless lands surrounding the Middle Fork Feather Wild & Scenic River and many of its tributaries, which are likely eligible for wild and scenic protection. These will be key issues when the Forest Service prepares to update the management plan for the region in the coming years. Produced by Friends of Plumas Wilderness, “Visions of the Lost Sierra” is a great primer on protecting the Middle Fork watershed and other wild lands in the northern Sierra Nevada.
