After decades of work mapping and defending these landscapes, CalWild knows that rolling back the Roadless Rule puts some of California’s most important national forests at risk, from the Klamath to the Sierra to the Los Padres. That’s probably why this administration has refused to hold public hearings on their controversial (to put it nicely) proposal to roll it back. But don’t worry. Calwild is working with partners across the state to give our forests a voice. We’re holding Roadless Rule town halls across California so you can share the reasons you love California’s forests and want to see the Roadless Rule left in place. Town halls to defend the Roadless Rule and millions of acres of California’s national forest start in Orange County. Other events continue throughout the state in the following weeks.
