Voices for a Wild Future

CalWild’s Voices for a Wild Future donors enable our grassroots organization to continue our vital mission and thrive amidst extreme political divides over public lands. The generosity of these donors opens doors that would otherwise be limited or closed by the shrinking resources available to conservation organizations. We are so grateful to their vision and substantial commitment to our state’s enduring wild-ness.

How big of an impact do these gifts make?

  • In 2020, VWF donors helped us launch our Public Lands Equity and Resilience program (PLER). As part of that, we hired our first San Joaquin Organizer to help grow BIPOC-led public lands advocacy in the Central Valley.
  • With extra resources available for advocacy and lobbying, CalWild was proud to help make an outsized influence on lawmakers like Rep. Kevin McCarthy [CA-23] who eventually voted to support the Great American Outdoors Act that was made law in August 2020. As a result of this landmark legislation, the Land and Water Conservation Fund was permanently funded – a goal of CalWild’s for many years.

This type of capacity-building is possible only through the unique vision of VWF donors. Please join us today.
