California's Top 5 Threats 2019

Emblematic of what California's land and waterscapes have to offer, these places need our immediate help.

These five places were among the most threatened public lands in California for 2019 as identified by CalWild. Ranging from wild rivers to dry deserts, from the far northern mountain ranges of California to the southern Mojave, these places face a myriad of threats from all angles. CalWild and our supporters worked tirelessly to protect these wild places. The good news is that although one made it onto our 2020 Top 5 Threats list, for the most part each of these are in a much better place than when we started 2019.
