Partners and Group Members

CalWild’s unofficial motto has long been “we’ll meet with anybody.” And that tendency goes beyond the grassroots organizing tactics we’ve honed since 1976; it also applies to the wide spectrum of businesses and groups of all sizes with whom we collaborate for many projects.

We’ve already established a number of ways to work with other groups, which you can peruse below.

Do you represent a business or group interested in supporting wilderness conservation and advocacy for California’s federal public lands? Our friends at 1% for the Planet are helping the business community become advocates for ecological health by encouraging participating businesses to donate 1% of their proceeds to environmental groups like CalWild every year. Check out our 1%FTP profile here. Through this unique partnership, we’ve partnered with dozens of businesses in myriad ways, including:

    • New San Francisco-based beverage company Aura Bora pledged $20,000 and gave us 100% of their proceeds of their seasonal Chai Cranberry flavor at the end of 2021
    • Ventura’s The Refill Shoppe chose us as their February 2022 1%FTP nonprofit partner and renewed as Group Members
    • Atmos Financial, which specializes in reversing global warming through fee-free banking, added CalWild to their list of beneficiaries so their customers can support us directly through their services (we also get a donation when you sign up for an account!)
    • On top of their Group Member donation of $5,000, San Francisco’s Peak Design also donated part of of their 2021 Giving Tuesday proceeds to CalWild to further fulfill their 1%FTP pledge
