Schwarzenegger Endorses North Coast Wilderness Bill

Please thank the Governor for standing up for wild California

Thanks to your phone calls, emails, faxes and letters, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has formally endorsed the Northern California Coastal Wild Heritage Wilderness Act!

Already, the Governor's support is helping to move the bill forward through Congress. The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee has now voted unanimously to pass this legislation to permanently protect over 300,000 acres of spectacular California wilderness. The bill will now move to a vote by the full U.S. Senate.

We greatly appreciate your outstanding response to our alerts over this past year. Your letters, emails, and calls helped convince Governor Schwarzenegger to take a stand for California's natural heritage. Thanks to your hard work and support, we are now very close to preserving the King Range, Cache Creek, and many other north coast gems for all Californians.

* I/my family greatly enjoy traveling throughout California and visiting its many areas of natural beauty, such as California’s magnificent Lost Coast.

* By supporting Congressman Thompson’s wilderness bill, you have helped to ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy our state’s wild places, just as I do now.
