SEND LETTERS TO STOP MASSIVE LOGGING IN JACKSON STATE FOREST

Your help is needed to save a fabulous publicly-owned redwood forest from massive logging! You can help by going to
http://www.jacksonforest.com/Legislation/leg04_choice.htm

Jackson State Forest is a 50,000-acre redwood forest located only a few hours drive from Sacramento and the Bay Area. It is owned by all the people of California.

Until stopped by grassroots legal action several years ago, the state was carrying out massive logging in Jackson Forest. The profits went to subsidize the timber industry.

California state law now says that Jackson State Forest shall be logged for maximum timber production. This must be changed.

Those working to save this forest have launched "Ten Days to Rock Sacramento." Their goal is to deliver at least 1000 letters to each of two key legislators, the governor, and the new head of the Resources Department.

Please help by going to:

It is incredibly easy to send your letters. Act now, there is only a little time: the drive ends Friday, January 16.

Thanks for your help.
