The California Wilderness Coalition is excited to announce the selection of Kristi Davis as their Executive Director, effective October 1, 2009. Davis has held various leadership positions and is an experienced leader, educator, advocate and activist. She has earned a reputation as a trusted and respected leader. Equally important, she shares a passion for and commitment to the mission of CWC, to protect and conserve California’s wild places. Kristi has been selected to lead the strategic planning process, to enhance organizational communications and outreach and to expand the organization’s membership base.
"It is an honor and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve as the Executive Director of CWC," said Davis. "I am thrilled to continue to work with the CWC team in this new capacity because I'm convinced that through strong partnerships, ambitious goals, and a commitment to impact, we can transform the landscape of California and designate many more wild spaces."
